DOST Scholarship 2024 Given to 10,756 College Students
DOST Scholarship 2024 results are out. The Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) has released the list of qualifiers who will receive DOST Scholarship for AY 2024-2025.
As per reports, 89,510 college students have taken the pen-and-paper examination on April 6-7. 2024 nationwide in 205 test centers and a total of 10,756 students have qualified for the scholarship.
- 5,839 students have qualified for the RA 7687 Scholarship program
- 4,917 students are qualified for Merit Scholarship program
A report from the Inquirer states that the total number of students who will receive DOST scholarship may increase as 244 scholarship applicants have been asked to resubmit some requirements, it noted.
DOST Scholarship 2024 program
The DOST Scholarship is open for all incoming college students who meet the eligibility criteria and pass the qualifying examination. Students must be enroll in any of the DOST Priority Courses to be eligible for DOST Scholarship program.
DOST Scholars must work in their specialized fields in the Philippines after the completion of their degree programs for a period equal to the length of years they received the Scholarship.
Benefits of DOST Scholarships
Following is the list of benefits a DOST Scholar will receive for the AY 2024-2025:
- Tuition and other school fees – Actual fees up to ₱40,000.00 / year
- Learning Materials and/or Connectivity Allowance – ₱10,000.00 / year
- Monthly Living Allowance – ₱7,000.00 / month
- Clothing Allowance – ₱1,000.00
- Transportation Allowance – 1 economy-class roundtrip fare
- Group Health and Accident Insurance – Premium
- Thesis Allowance – ₱10,000.00
- Graduation Allowance – ₱1,000.00
- Mid-Year Term Allowance (if required in the curriculum)
- Tuition and other school fees – Actual fees up to ₱10,000.00
- Learning Materials and/or Connectivity Allowance – ₱2,000.00
- Monthly Living Allowance – ₱7,000.00 / month for two months
How will DOST Scholars be contacted
Qualifiers will receive the Notices of award while potential qualifiers will receive an advisory on the requirements they must resubmit. After this process, the students and their parents/legal guardians will visit to attend the orientation on the scholarship policies and procedures.
